Your wedding photography captures the memories from one of the best days of your life - it's important you get it right.
A wedding consultation is a great way to get to know your photographer, their style and their printed images. It's a must before booking!
But if you're worried about meeting someone face to face, don't be!
My consultations are relaxed and informal, and giving us both the chance to discuss everything - the good, the bad and the ugly (though it's usually the good, the great and the exciting!)
I'll invite you into my studio in The Hidden Lane, Glasgow where I'll have tea and coffee, cakes and biscuits waiting. If you'd rather we can meet in a cafe - my favourites are The Hidden Lane Tea Room and Piece but I'm in Finnieston, so there are loads all within a short walking distance. And even some dog friendly ones!
The first thing I'll do when you arrive is smile and say hello! And then once you're comfy, I'll ask about you:
What are your plans for your wedding? Venue, theme, decor, colour, guests...
What stage are you at in your planning?
How do you feel about everything?
It will be like talking to one of your friends, or the very least, a work colleague about how planning is going.
This is usually followed by a trickier question: What are you looking for in a photographer?
And this is your chance to tell me about what you're looking for on your wedding day- the type of person you want with you and your guests and the style of images you imagine yourself in when you think about your wedding photographs.
Lots of people don't know the answer to this question. If you don't, we can use some of our time to talk about what I do - you'll know pretty quickly whether you could work with me or not and whether you can see yourself in my photographs.
After that we'll look at a typical wedding and the most common shots I capture on a wedding day. This is a great opportunity to start thinking about the must have shots for you - exchanging of rings, first kiss, register signing, cake cutting, first dance. And if you have some special details or moments that you absolutely want preserved, just let me know.
Next up is a chance to browse through some wedding albums and prints. You may have seen some of my images online but it's helpful to see photographs for real. And during this time, I simply sit back and let you look. If you have any questions, you're more than welcome to ask them - about anything!
And that's it!
If you want more information, you can ask me before you go, phone me afterwards or send an email.
It really is just a friendly chat and a chance for us to meet.
